Homes
If pets they can be kept in terrarium – sand is not considered good for many of them.
You are better off having a reptile carpet.
They can live in trees and under rocks, there are ground dwellers and tree dwellers.

Food
They love eating crickets, you can breed them to feed to geckos.(Bye bye crickets)
Meal worms also good.
Wax worms and baby mice can be delicious treats.
Also some species eat moths, scorpions, and baby mice…

When Active
Most of them are nocturnal but there is one variety that is awake during the day.

Sounds
They make barking, chirping or clicking, sounds

Social
Likes company other geckos, lives in small and large groups.

Defences and unique features
Some species can shed tail as defence
Geckos have no moveable eyelids.
Tree dwellers have pads to provide traction on surfaces.

Names
Aussie gecko names: Beaked, Crowned, Barking, Beaded, Spiny Tailed, Tesselated and Fat Tailed.

Speck although a fantastic creature will have some basis in fact. I think I’ll give him his own name, and make him an everygecko species- maybe the magic coconut can give him the powers of flight.

  2. Geckos have always been my good friends since they ate the flies and spiders in my Brisbane laundry, I thank the little fellows whenever we meet and appreciate the one who lives in our mailbox. I am sure you can find something to do with Angus–ghost searching perhaps? The CPO

  3. Yeah ghosts sounds good! Ghosts of crickets maybe not? They might feel a bit upset with Speck..

  4. Speck is on a ghost busting adventure and i have also found a model for him- a delightful soft toy filled with sand!
